Meet Sarah Church, Our New Church Support Administrator

Sarah Church joined the South Western Synod in April 2026 as Church Support Administrator and is often the first point of contact for churches and enquirers contacting the Synod Office.

Hello everyone,

Some of you I have already spoken with, emailed, or even met in person, but for those I haven’t yet had the pleasure of meeting, my name is Sarah Church.

I joined the South Western Synod at the beginning of April as the new Church Support Administrator, so I am now nearly 10 weeks into my role. I’m really looking forward to being of assistance and working alongside you all.

And yes, honestly, my surname really is Church! As David, our Moderator, said, “God works in mysterious ways.” He has now guided me to a job title containing the word Church, with the surname Church, working for the United Reformed Church — so I’ll have to be incredibly inventive if I ever need to search for a specific email!

I will be working alongside our SPAs and Office Team, and I will probably be the first person you speak to when you ring the Synod Office. I will do my best to guide you to the relevant person or department, or answer any queries myself where I can.

So, if you have any questions, big or small, please do get in touch. I can’t promise miracles, but I’ll certainly give it my best!
